 What's New for the 2024 Lexus NX Plug-In Hybrid?

The Lexus NX benefited from a significant refresh in 2022, so only a few improvements have been made to the 2024 version. This crossover continues to be available with gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The Lexus NX PHEV for 2024 has comparable performance capabilities as the previous model year. It is available in two trim levels, including the 450h+ and the 450h+ F Sport Handling. Both trims are loaded with two electric motors and a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. This system produces 304 horsepower and features all-wheel drive. The all-electric driving range is 37 miles. The 450h+ F Sport Handling is also outfitted with an adaptive sport suspension system.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Lexus NX PHEV introduces a few new color choices, and some color-keyed aspects have been revised. This model is also now available with remote parking and a panoramic sunroof. Suppose you opt for the entry-level NX PHEV. In that case, your crossover will come with memory and power functions for the front seats, leather upholstery, a push-button starter, a dual-zone auto climate control system, ambient cabin lights, hands-free entry, heated front seats, a 14-inch infotainment system screen, wireless connectivity for smart device apps, a heated steering wheel, a wireless hotspot, a head-up display, and others. The top NX PHEV trim adds sport seats with bolsters. Optional add-ons include a surround-view camera, a digital rearview camera, and a wireless smartphone charger.

There are numerous standard safety technologies in both NX PHEV trims. These are parking sensors, blind-spot detection, evasive steering assistance, a rear cross-traffic detection system, lane keeping, lane departure sensing, intersection turn assist, and several other features. Optional upgrades for the safety suite include automated lane changing and a front cross-traffic alert.

The engaging exterior style of the 2024 Lexus NX PHEV is unchanged. It has a decidedly athletic look with a low profile and extensive curves from end to end. The sides have crisp accents over the rear fenders, dark molding, and sleek door contouring. The swoop of the grille is brought to life through deep, angled accents, which flow directly into the A-frame grille. The sharp look continues with the triangular, LED-topped headlights and the aggressive, black air vents.
