Introducing the All-New 2026 Lexus ES

All-New 2026 Lexus ES Luxury Sedan

The premium Lexus ES breaks new ground in 2026 with a bold redesign, upgraded engineering, and a slew of enhanced features. The ES introduces new body language that will later be instilled in other Lexus models. Other notable updates are a new exterior paint color and the new BEV powertrain.

Exterior Styling

The ES, which is now in its eighth generation, has long been the brand's flagship sedan. In 2026, the refreshed design is inspired by the LF-ZC concept car. It includes carryover elements from the previous model year's design, such as the flared drop-down grille and a bolt-like LED in the headlights. However, the grille now sinks through the bumper to the bottom of the nose, and the headlights are remarkably slender. The triangular air vents stand as tall as the grille and feature the same horizontally themed accents as the grille. The sides have an innovative look with a Z-shaped accent line that shoots across the door panels. The profile of the new ES is also reshaped with enhanced curvature. Wavelength is a new paint color for the 2026 model year.

Hybrid and All-Electric Luxury Sedan Models

The Lexus ES has long been admired for its smooth, agile performance, and these traits continue with the latest generation. In 2026, the model drops the gas-powered trim levels and is only available as a hybrid or as an all-electric model.

All-New 2026 Lexus ES 350h

The 2026 ES 350h trim level is a hybrid model that mates an electric motor with a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine. This is a 243-horsepower unit that pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel and all-wheel drive are options.

All-New 2026 Lexus ES 350e and ES 500e

The 2026 ES 350e is an all-electric luxury sedan with front-wheel drive. It has a centrally placed battery and a manufacturer-estimated range of up to 300 miles.

The 2026 ES 500e is an all-electric luxury sedan that has all-wheel drive. It boasts a manufacturer-estimated range of up to 250 miles.

Both of these luxury sedan EVs have a NACS charging port, which is capable of DC fast charging. While range and charging times will vary depending on weather and other factors, DC fast charging helps ensure a more convenient ownership experience.

A Plush Interior

The redesigned interior of the 2026 ES is 6.5 inches longer and three inches wider than the 2025 version. The roomy cabin is designed with lowered side doors, which allow more natural light to filter into the space. The ambient lighting is upgraded to include thematic and dynamic elements.

The Mark Levinson premium sound system delivers a three-dimensional listening experience. A 12.3-inch infotainment system screen and a low-profile dashboard dominate the front of the cabin. The infotainment system's upgraded tech now includes a native navigation system, faster voice assistance response, and an improved interface.
