2024 Lexus NX vs 2024 Lexus RX

Serving Chicago, IL

Lexus models could easily stand out from the crowd in your search for a premium SUV with impressive engineering and features. Both the 2024 NX and the 2024 RX are two-row models that are comparable in exciting ways. However, a more detailed look at these models is essential, with significant differences between the compact NX crossover and the midsize RX crossover.

Performance

The 2024 NX is available with four distinctive powertrains for you to test drive at McGrath Lexus of Chicago. These include a 203-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine, and a 275-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. You could opt for a hybrid system that features two electric motors and a four-cylinder gas engine, and this system produces 239 horsepower. The top NX trim features a 302-horsepower, plug-in hybrid engine.

There are also four available powertrains for the 2024 RX. The possibilities start with the same 275-horsepower gas engine as the NX has. A hybrid four-cylinder system that produces 246 horsepower is also available, and a turbo V6 hybrid that produces 366 horsepower is offered in higher trim levels. If you prefer to drive the plug-in hybrid RX, your crossover will benefit from 304 horsepower.

Appearance

The smaller NX crossover shows off its sporty yet sophisticated style with a strongly arched roof, a raked rear, and a liftgate spoiler. The fenders are smartly defined and pair with a hint of accentuation over the doors. The NX's nose is dressed up with a flared, drop-down grille, bullet-like foglamps, and angled air vents.

While the 2024 Lexus RX is a larger vehicle, it is equally curved throughout its profile. Across the sides, the RX displays a premium accent line on the lower door panels that swells over the rear fenders. While the RX's grille shape is comparable to the NX, the larger air vents are beautified with a chrome element. Above these vents, a swoosh of LED lighting runs below a row of bulbs.

Features

You will be pampered on the road regardless of your selection of the Lexus NX or RX. If you choose the 2024 NX, your crossover could come with a Mark Levinson sound system, a wireless charging pad, wireless connectivity for smartphone apps, a 14-inch infotainment display screen, heated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting in 64 colors and wood trim. Many of these features are also available in the RX. The Lexus RX also has a head-up display, automated parking, a digital rearview mirror, and a more robust sound system.
