2025 Lexus ES 350 vs 2025 Lexus LS 500
Serving Chicago, IL
For Chicago-area drivers who demand excellence from a luxury sedan, the Lexus lineup leaves no room for disappointment. Often, our customers at McGrath Lexus of Chicago ask about the differences between the midsize Lexus ES 350 and the flagship, full-size LS 500. Despite being close siblings in the lineup, the ES and LS models have exciting differences.
Performance
The 2025 Lexus ES has three powertrains available, and the ES 350 has the most powerful gas engine. This is a V6, 3.5-liter powertrain that provides you with 302 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. It boasts an eight-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive. Depending on the trim selected, the ES 350 may also be outfitted with a performance-tuned adaptive suspension and special drive modes.
The 2025 Lexus LS 500 carries the only gas engine available for this model. It is a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine with a 10-speed auto transmission. Rear-wheel drive is included, and all-wheel drive is an upgrade. This system gives you 416 horsepower with 442 pound-feet of torque. An adaptive suspension system is standard.
Appearance
The stunning ES 350 has a next-level look with an aerodynamic, low-slung profile and a sharply designed nose. While the nose is rounded, the grille is sharply cinched. Both the tall air inlets and the pointed LED headlights trend inward to highlight the grille's shape. Over the sides, angled lower definition creates a sense of movement.
The LS has many comparable design elements, but is easy to distinguish from the ES. It has a taller roof with smoothly flared haunches. The angled definition on the sides is highlighted by a metallic element. The cinched-in grille has slightly curved sides, and the air inlets are wider.
Features
If you opt for the 2025 Lexus ES 350, your sedan may be equipped with a surround-view camera, powered sunshades in the rear row, and a Mark Levinson sound system with 17 speakers. Other features include a hands-free power trunk release, a panoramic glass sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, a navigation system, a head-up display, leather upholstery, heated seats, a wireless charger, and more.
The LS 500 offers similar features. It is also available with wood trim, power-reclining rear seats with massaging functions, a 7-inch touch display screen for the rear passengers, a wood and leather steering wheel with heat, and a few other features.
